Sibling Rivalry
How quickly it grew, sprouting tall sturdy stems, leaves verdant and vying for the sun’s kiss. Our parents didn’t recall planting it, nonetheless, they tended it faithfully. When it was ready to harvest, we tasted it, somehow surprised it was strong and bitter.
